Paul, There's an auxilliary power wire in the tail but, for me, it wouldn't be the easiest location; I'd have to run the pair of wires all the way to the front...

When I am going to start a bike that's real cold I put a heat lamp on the lower part of the engine the night before and put a cover or blanket over the bike....

!200 tanks should all fit. The differense between the 1100 and the 1200 hundreds are the rear mounts. the 1200 frame has a 2 inch mount that the tank sits on....

Got a local speed shop that quoted me about $1100 for a muzzy pipe and jet kit installed. Another $400 for dyno tune. Does this sound like the right amount?...

My guess would be the face shield doesn't fit well, and it's whistling where it's coming in. You could experiment with a little tape run around the sealing...
