Oh, doh! I misread that message ;)
I had a police officer friend of mine check mine with his radar at
30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 on the speedo. It was almost exactly 10% fast
at every speed. IOW, at 55 I was registering 60. At 64 I was
registering 70. He said he couldn't check any faster than that
without writing me a ticket, but like you, I'd assume the 10% to hold
true throughout the range.
