thanks for the reply... actually it is usually the opposite, pull up to stop and
revs up to 4K, and stays until I slip clutch or leave intersection...

With your bike at idle, spray carb cleaner in places where a leak is possible. If there is a leak, that spray will get sucked in and cause your engine to rev...
