Re: [Yamaha FJR1300 Club] Trip and clock displays reset
Thanks to everyone who replyed.. the issues has not returned and the
battery/charging system tested good. I think this seriano from Ake could be the
reason as it was a kinda in gear, clutch -- starter same time deal ... so I'm
gong with that unless proven wrong down the line. I will be adding a battery
monitor in the near future.
<<<<> For a couple of years ago when I should start my 2003 FJR with the first
gear in, the start motor was stalled because the clutch was not fully released.
I had engage the clutch lever to fully.

I put on 520 miles the first week including 9 hours in the north Georgia
mountains Saturday getting use to the curves on my new ride. I'm a daily rider
and so got to enjoy my first ride in a thunderstorm coming home from work
yesterday - still cautious in the rain but the ABS inspires more confindence. I
also took my first night ride and the headlights are great compared to my last
ride but alas -- the dash was very dark - it appears all my dash lights are
burned out. My repair manual should be arriving soon.
Later.... Bruce B.
