Welcome to the XR-3 Group

This is a group dedicated to building the R.Q. Riley XR3 hybrid high efficiency vehicle.

If you have an interest in building your own vehicle, Hybrids, or EV's you may just find something of interest here. NOTE: If you don't know, the XR-3 is the latest in a long series of plans based vehicles designed by Robert Q. Riley. It may also be his first actual production vehicle. It is designed as a high mileage hybrid, but all options are on the table. It can be built as an EV, a conventional ICE vehicle, or anything else you wish. If you have an interest in this please feel free to join us.

Hi Art and All, Most all EV motors are custom as few stock any motors anymore. You just order what you want and about 3 weeks later, it shows up on your door.

ARRRGGG!!! I called ADC, and they sent me to Electrical Vehicles of America, one of their distributors. There are no retail 2.5" long shaft, 8" diameter

Take a look at this site, and specifically the 22 8M 85 -6F pulley. 3 1/4" wide, and 22 tooth. Knock off the inner flange, machine it down to the correct
