Mike and Renee,
Merry Christmas to you both from the great state of Texas!? It warms my heart
beyond description to hear that Wings of the Phoenix may rise from the ashes
again!? It was difficult for me to be so far away and be unable to help hold
everything together there.? My fondest memories of my 26 years in California
have always been the GWTA family and Chapter S.? As I told you when you accepted
the challenge of Chapter Director, the secret is to just have fun and the rest
will fall in place.? And even though miles separate us now, if there's any way I
can be of help, please don't hesitate to call!? My Wing is resting in the warmth
of the garage right now, waiting for new tires.? I miss riding with old friends
there,so come on down to Texas and I'll show you some great roads in my little
part of the country.? You've always got a place to kick off your boots.? My best
to you and Renee for this Christmas season and in the coming year.? Please keep
in touch.? I've missed you all so much.

If anyone is still out there, Wings Of The Phoenix will attempt to rise
from the ashes once again in 2009. It has come to my attention that
some of the members that went with the ill-fated offshoot group would
Rather ride with a "Safer" group like they were used to. If anyone
would like to help Wings Of The Phoenix rise again, let us knows. We
would love to hear from you! Larry trusted me to keep the club he
started happy and safe. Renee and I did our best for four years. If
we would have known what would happen when we stepped down, we would
have just cut back on activities instead of leaving all together.
Renee and I still enjoy riding with a group, and miss a lot of our old
friends. We look forward to an exciting 2009, and hope to put on some
miles with friends.
Happy holidays, stay safe, and we hope to see a lot of Wings on the
road in 2009.
Mike Cochrane (Club Director)
