Did you get the gas tank filler neck shield recall done? On my wife's car, the new shield covered the bumpstop on the neck on the rear passenger side, and when compressed, it made some noise. I cut out the shield to uncover the bumpstop, and it's fine.
If that's not it, and you do replace the shocks, don't get stock ones at the dealer. It'll cost an arm and a leg and you can get much better shocks from the aftermarket.
You can get nice replacements for $60/ea for the rear, and under $100/ea front. Boge and Bilstein are both reputable shock companies. At that sort of mileage, make sure to replace the strut mounts at the top of all 4, as well as the strut bearing in the front.
Front kit is $43:
It's also possible that the bump just damaged the shock mount rubber on that corner. They're probably worn out by 130k anyway.

Subject: [vr6] Shocks and Struts??
jetta glx with 130k miles. Taking her on a cross country (us) road
trip. The trunk has quite a bit of weight in it (actually moving a lot
of my stuff)I hit a good bump and ever since, the rear passenger side
makes a creaking noise as the car moves up and down. Happens when the
car is moving and also when parked - ie I can walk over to the rear,
push down on the car and as it bounces up and down, it makes a creaking
noise. My guess is with the weight and bump, I must have damaged the
shock. Do you guys think that is the case or does it sound like
something different to you? Before I call the dealer and get a quote,
should I be looking at replacing all shocks and struts or just the
damaged one? (they have never been replaced). Also, if it is just a
shock/strut issue, do you have any idea as to what kind of ballpark
cost would I be looking at?
thanks.
