This is the Only Volkswagen VR6 Engine Specific mailing list on the internet. The VR6 is the most powerful engine Volkswagen has created to date. You can find this engine in various VW automobiles including the Golf GTI, Jetta GLX, Passat GLX and the Corrado SLC. Aftermarket VW tuners have engineered, adapted and shoehorned the VR6 powerplant into Polo's, A1 / A2 Golf/Jetta's, Passat GL's, Scirocco's, Pickups, Sharan's, Cabrio's, Cabriolet's, and Rabbits.

It could be a bad coil pack or MAF, & then the resulting fouled spark plugs. If it was raining at the time, I would lean suspect the coil pack. -John ... From:
