Re: [vjlamc] Road test a vintage racer?

Lee, I live 5 miles from there, I'm driving by it this afternoon on my way out to Palm Desert.

Randall..... ..there is a stretch of road in Cabazon on the way to Palm Springs that is parallel to the 10 freeway and about 6 miles of non police two lane straight road with minor dips.  That is one good place that you would be free to test the bike.......Lee

Randall.
The Mojave Desert is known for it's long undisturbed/ remote stretches. One in particular leads right to my residence where your bike will live a life of luxury, and be pampered for the rest of my life :) That's my attempt at humor.

Please tell us the exact bike you are testing, and when can we see it in real life? Any HONDA road racer from the early 60s has my attention.

Does anyone know a lonely stretch of asphalt or concrete road, just a mile or so in length, where I could do some initial road-worthiness testing of a recently-restored 1963 Honda vintage road-racer? It's very loud and is not street legal. Eventually I'll sign up for a track day at Willow Springs, but initially there will be bugs to work out that will be evident after a few minutes of test-riding. I'm in the Long Beach area. Something within an hour's drive would be great. Thanks!
