Hi Warren. I had that exact same problem on my '63 T. If you can
confirm that the vacuum line from the booster to the intake manifold
is not the culprit (inner lining could be collapsed while the outside
looks fine), then your booster probably IS shot.
I bought my replacement from UAP Napa for $120 Canadian (about $75
US) + core charge and found the installation to be pretty simple. I
didn't spend too much time under the dash - just a quick look-see to
spot where the four nuts were then I went by feel (I've got a long
reach).
After being accustomed to two-footed braking for over a year I ended
up leaving 4 short skid marks on the floor as I pulled into the
garage - LOL! Sure takes a light touch!
