Re: [Vintage Honda Motorcycles] Wanted: 1974 XL125 KO Battery Harness Connector

Hi Stuart,

Looks like Honda Parts direct has one for $4.43 plus shipping.  Different part number but it comes with the fuse.  See http://www.hondaparts-direct.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?category=Motorcycles&make=Honda&year=1974&fveh=4137

Subject: [Vintage Honda Motorcycles] Wanted: 1974 XL125 KO Battery Harness Connector

Hi there,

I got a 1974 xl125 parts bike and want to check for spark. Since this bike has an intact wiring harness and switch, I need a battery for it to run. I need to temporarily hook at 6v battery to the bike to check for spark.

I do not want to butcher my wiring harness to be able to connect my XL175 bikes 6V battery to check for spark. Bike Bandit does not have the Honda connector that connects the battery to the main wiring harness, and I would really like to leave the wiring harness in its stock configuration. I do not need the fuse holder, just the connector with the two wires for hooking to the positive and negative terminals.

According to my parts manual the Honda part number is "31500-098-951 (not available) use 98203-6620 Battery Assy *6N4*".

Anybody out there have a used honda battery connector? Or where to get a new one? I imagine they are used in a lot of different honda models, could someone help me out?

I will cut and splice if I have to, but thought I would ask around first.

Thanks,

Stuart

Thanks Dan, But I ordered those parts from Bike Bandit (thinking the numbers referred to the whole wiring harness, not just the fuse holder), and they are just...

Oh! I thought Bike Bandit didn't have the part since you said, "Bike Bandit does not have the Honda connector that connects the battery to the main wiring...

Dan, Nobody has the part I need. Bike Bandit had the fuse and fuse holder (which I mistakenly ordered thinking it had the wire and the connector attached,...
