Dave,
That is going to be a NICE LOOKING 450 when your done. You'll find that hondaparts-direct.com is better than bikebandit because the schematics come up faster and they usually have more parts than bikebandit and they are cheaper than bikebandit.
The only problem is if they don't have the part in stock anymore you won't find out till you get your order. If you look the part up on bikebandit and they don't have it, the area will be grayed out so you know not to order it. But, like I said hondaparts-direct.com has more parts.
I rebuilt a $120 CB350F, and building a S90 and CT90 from scratch. I ran into some good friends out there who helped me with the carbs and sent pictures of their bikes so I knew what the original bike should end up looking like when I am done.
Take care,
Dan

Wow Dan. Thanks! Another reason to love the internet! See, I had not found this site yet, and I would have passed over "pipe" looking for a pivot rod. Thanks for the help! when I get this thing back together, I'll get some pics posted. Dave

Hi JR, I took a picture of the pivot rod I cut. It measures 3/4" x 6-3/4" (may be off by an 1/8" or so), This rod goes through the brake pedal and then through the center stand. I am not positive if it's the same one or not.dv

Dave... it got above zero today and I had a chance to go through my old parts. I'm sorry if I pumped up your hopes but as it turns out I was mistaken. I must have given most of my Honda parts away when I sold my last old Honda year ago. I had 5 bikes and my wife said I need more room in the garage. I'm down to two now. I have a handle bar clamp assembly with lights for a CB750 and a few Yamaha Seca parts and that's it. Sorry.Smitty----- Original Message -----From: DavevisseSent: Thursday, January 01, 2009 1:33 PMSubject: Re: [Vintage Honda Motorcycles] 72 CB450 Brake pivot rodHappy new year Smitty.
