You can not use flat bar in a horizontal orientation without some support due to
the
directionality of the grain structure.
So if you are going to use the pipes as you have them you will need to get a
long bolt and a
spacer tube to allow the muffler bracket to run vertically up.
Having a good look at your photos your headder pipe is a substantially different
bend to
mine.
My headder comes down far enough to to go under the timing cover so it can run
substantially closer to the frame and totally under the tool box.
Just the same a nice resto job.
