pooman's tuned ss50 (135 top end) has broken a few small-taper cranks in it's day, exactly at the same spot, i think also with both normal and hp4 flywheels....

The replacement cranks are not as good as the originals and the small taper isn't really suited to high revs and usually way out of balance performance...
