yes and no. strictly no, but... if the altered gearing means the bike will sit in it's powerband better, you'll end up with probably a slightly lower top...

I get a higher top speed w/mine mainly because with my big ass on the bike, it keeps it in the power in 4th. I used to top out at 48 ...now I can hit 60+...
