RE: [triumph_herald] Good week

The Australian 12/50 coupe and saloon were assembled from kits suppled
by triumph in mother England

It had a 1600 vitesse chassis spitfire 4 engine gearbox diff brakes etc
single down draft carbie installed twin SU,s were an option

The body was from 1600 vitesse the coupe had the appropriate rear deck
fitted and a MK2 Herald coupe roof

The dash was a plastic unit with fluted vents almost the entire length
of it

White Face coupe gauges were standard no glove box lid fitted

Chrome bumper covers fitted none fitted to the rear side

I have a scanned original sales brochure should any one like a copy I
will email it to them

The guy I purchased the car from was confused as to why the body panels
wouldn't fit his 1959 herald coupe

Regards

Ian

Does that mean that an Oz 12/50 coupe has a "Vitesse" bonnet or was the
1600 Vitesse owner happy to get ANY decent bonnet?

Good week

After searching for 6 years for a saloon or coupe rear tub to rob body
panels or modify for my 12/50 coupe I have final purchased a complete or
near complete 12/50 coupe

Year model unknown chassis and front floors rusted out sitting on wet
ground in a guys shed front valance and bonnet had been removed and in
as new condition. The rear tub only has rust in the well LH rear mount

Roof Mk2 Herald Coupe no rust no dints. Price $500 AUST

Before arriving home the diff, disc brakes and bonnet had been sold The
bonnet to complete a 1600cc vitesse the diff and disc to upgrade and
complete a herald saloon 3 cars back on the road it's a shame to
dismantle one rare car but 3 more on the road is a good out come
