Michelle,

I was just thinking, I may not have made something clear that is
probably
pertinent.....especially in regards to people from these forums that
have
purchased Extra Care plans from me since most have purchased them
well after
they purchased their Prius. If cancelling, Toyota uses the starting
date of
the warranty (Date of First Use = effective start date) when
computing the
pro-rata refund....NOT the date you purchase the agreement.
Well....actually, they use the time/miles remaining....but you get the
point.

example...same $1000, 6/100K policy is purchased on a 2 year old
car......only 4 years remain on that policy the day its purchased,
refund
will be 66% of purchase price as soon as the 30 day grace period
expires.
(apprx $660-$25 = $635) assuming time gives the smaller refund, or
they will
use mileage in the same way.

I can see this becoming a little confusing in this case, as opposed to
people that purchase the plans at the same time they purchase the car.

Troy
