You'll have to ask the Honda hybrid groups for sales figures on the Civic
(usually commingled with the non-hybrid Civic sales numbers) and the
Insight.
Personally, I think that you have to look at the average price of the
Prius units sold, besides the # of Prius sold. There's a fixed number of
Prius made, and when demand goes up, so does the price. (simple supply
and demand curve - elementary economics) Waiting times also go up...
