Just drove my prius from portland oregon to connecticut in 68
hours,,, solo .... less tired than driving my van to florida which is
less than half the distance...slept 1 to 2 hours at a time when
needed,... in oregon and idaho got 34 mpg at extended 85 to 92
mph... 44mpg in wyoming ,nebraska and iowa at 75-80mph
when I got to new york the driving got tighter and slower and I
averaged a solid 50mpg at 50-65 mph
I attribute the increased vitality to the lower noise floor of the
prius.... this freakin car can zoom 40 to 85 mph... dust settles in
the wind grooves and must be windexed out... this car really did
the trip effortlessly...$ 110 bucks for gas... I spent more on
snacks... time to Sleep Gary Bertz
