The problem for Th!nk, and the other start-ups as well, is production. Th!nk was
talking about 5,000 units per year from Aurskog, but was never able to show an
ability to meet those production numbers. Carlos Ghosn of Nissan recently stated
the electric car and batteries to be produced at Smyrna, TN should appear at a
rate of 100,000 per year, increasing to 150,000. The window for the start-ups is
closing fast.
