There is going to be an environmental demonstration tomorrow
morning at the Ford dealership in Santa Monica. If there are
any Th!nk drivers near Santa Monica who could make it over
for the 9am event I'm sure it would be appreciated by the event

On Monday, November 25, 2002 the Sierra Club will kick off its campaign
encouraging local Ford dealers to urge Ford Motor Company to protect
California by complying with the state's landmark Global Warming Law and
bringing low emission cars to dealership floors.

Public officials, students, Santa Monica residents, academics, and
religious and business leaders will come together in the fight against
global warming pollution and the danger it poses to California's coastline,
water supply, and economy.

Over 80% of Californians support the law and the Sierra Club is urging Ford
Motor Company not to fight it, as they have threatened to do. Instead,
Ford can be a responsible corporate leader by quickly implementing new and
existing technologies, such as the Sierra Club's "Freedom Option Package,"
that give consumers the choice to drive cars that go further on a gallon of
gas.

Monday's event will showcase cars that are made with emission reducing
technologies. There has never been a more critical time or a better single
way to cut pollution, reduce dependence on foreign oil, and save consumer
dollars.
