well, i am french, so excuse me for my english.
i have a gilera 125 lc engine with a 172 malossi, exaust, crank,
variator, gear(prim) and belt are malossi too and the carb is a 24
mikuni. soon there will be a malossi ignition and polini manifold
and pipe. the bike is not a runner or a gilera but an old "MBK
booster" wich was originaly fitted with a little 50cc engine. the
total weight should be 80 kg perhaps less...
at this time i am waiting for :
1-the exaust silencer because the one they gave me doesn t fit the
exaust's pipe.
2-a small part from the ignition -i dont know the english name- that
i have order but it doesn't come.
that's the reason why i don't have tried yet this toy and i am about
to be crazy !!! 1 full month and i don't have all parts !
so could any one tell me if he has a full malossi engine and how
fast it goes, power etc...?
are the malossi ignition and polini manifold good ??
did any one try the air cooled version of the 172 ???

receive my 172 malossi kit from taffspeed. Any tips on what else to

runner 125. I should recive 172 kit in few days from taffy dont know
if any instructions come or not? some help required as of draining
coolent,torque settings and is it possible to fit without taking
engine out?
also getting gear up kit,polini belt,180 variator+14.75 rollers i
think,cluch springs and 92 jet any help with fitting head or any
changes to rollers,jets and which cluch springs to fit be greatful.

Hi guys and gals i have a problem with the handling on my runner 172
the back end feels very loose and vague throgh corners and i have no
idea whats causing it has anybody had simalar probs or know of a
cure its spoiling my fun big time any ideas or solutions would be
much appreciated
This is slightly off subject ( I apologise if I upset anyone) but I
feel this needs to be said......
I have just had a safety recall notice on my 2001 runner. I am told
a large number of 125 and 180 runners from 2001 have defective front
forks....They can "Bend or fracture!!!!'" if involved in a minor
frontal impact or by going over a pothole at speed!
Now with me being the wrong side of 20stone (I'm just tall honest)
and having my son on the back I am a little concerned!!!
Have your forks checked guys....The ones that are effected (I'm
told) are the right way up ones.

i'm just about to fit a 172 kit but aint all that sure wot else i
should av with it?? for example 25mm carb, gear up kit, etc i've got
abt £450 but that gotta include the 172 kit and the labour!! cheers

live in australia where scoots are jsut starting to take off.
Could someone tell me what's involved in upgrading my 125 to a 172cc
Malossi kit?
Not even sure we have any techs in Aus that could do this conversion
anyway.
