1959 M&M resin body   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #102 of 552 |
I am working on my '59 Caddy. The body is from Jimmy Flintstone, and
its supposed to go on the Ecto-1 kit. The Ecto kit lacks in detail,
so I am "stretching" a chasis from a Monogram '59 convertible, &
using the engine. I had to stretch it about 3/4", & used sheet
styrene and various plastic molding. Other parts would not mate up,
so I am modifying them. This is my first attempt at resin; any tips
would be appreciated. I paid a lot of money for the two kits ( ecto
& resin body ), over $75.00, but they are easier to find now. The
body sells on e-bay starting at $10.00, and my local hobby shop has
several Ecto-1's for $14.99.
