I have an 85 not too sure what is similar on yours but i had to remove my skid plate to access mine. a couple of bolts at the very front and a few at the back....
To remove the oil pan, you'll have to raise the engine up a couple inches, and remove the skid plate. You may just need to tighten the bolts on the pan though....
