Yep. That sidecar axle is long enough to take M5 or cast wheels but has been fitted with an M1 spoked wheel. Buy a thick washer or two from your hardware shop

The purpose of the cotter pin is to keep the castle nut from spinning loose.  You may have to spacer with washers to get the parts to meet properly.  My

sidecar wheel nut cotter pin question
Ok so I got my sidecar today and got it on the bike just need to set things up. Question the nut that holds the wheel onto the sidecar (not the spare) is there
