The people up here in Dallas advised me to just carry it in a shirt pocket or jacket pocket. That way no one can steal if off the bike. Just got mine......
I keep mine in my right fairing pocket... just make sure it's on top of whatever metal objects you might have in there.. Works good there... even tagged me...

i think it's a bad idea. you have to worry about it getting stolen. and sometimes mine will fall fo when it get hot in the summer. you wouldn't wanna lose it...
