FYI…I got this from a post on the BMW group.  I know of a few that have gone over there and made some good deals.

Hi all.....just thought I would let everyone know that the former Fieldsheer rep for this part of the country is selling off all her inventory at 1/2 price.  Several of us went by her warehouse on Tuesday and she has a huge supply of jackets, pants, leather and textile suits, gloves, tank bags, and tail bags.  She is in the process of getting them out of boxes and on display so they can be easily viewed. Her name is Pam and her warehouse is on Manana near I35E, 2526 Manana, #104  Dallas, 75222.  There is no signage on her door.  Pam's cell phone number is (713) 345-0340.  She said it would be best to give her a call before you go, but she is happy to have any and all interested.

I have no stake in this.....just wanted to pass on the info on some good deals!

If you go to this website (www.LetsSayThanks.com) you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one! It is FREE and it only takes a few seconds.

This takes just 10 seconds and it's a wonderful way to say thank you. So please take the time to send a card and please take the time to pass this email on to others so they can do the same. We can never say enough thank you's.

Thanks for taking the time to support our troops!

The problem Ralph,

Is that someone should be moderating this group and kick these posts off before they come to us.  This individual has nothing to do with the spirit and purpose of this group and more than likely doesn’t even own or ride a bike.  My suggestion would be to do like we have on our MTA group…… approve everyone that registers for this group.  It would certainly keep this stuff from getting to use.

JMHO,

Rick

Dad came to visit last week from SLC Utah and came bearing gifts. I now have a silver 86 Connie (with only 21,000+ miles on the clock) and a single rail trailer. The bike has a few "farkles" (riding lights, Fork springs, Lockhart smoked windshield ) and appears to be in good condition except for a tapping noise that I am currently investigating. I'm trying to locate an adapter so I can do a compression and leak-down test (all my stuff is automotive related, duh). I have pulled the valve cover and some of the valves are much "looser" than the others so I will at least do a valve adjustment. If it ends up having internal damage (i.e. bent rod) I think I can use parts from both engines and get one of the bikes back on the road buy next spring.

Everyone, Karen and I are talking about a ride to East Texas in early November
(either the weekend of the 7th and 8th or 14th and 15th). Nothing firm yet but
the plan would be to leave mid-Saturday morning and return Sunday afternoon. We
would like for you to come with us. I am posting this on TCAT and MTA. Let me
know if you are interested.

We would stay in either Palestine or Rusk. This will be a new area for us. Your
suggestions on routes and places to stay are appreciated. Of course, this is
weather permitting. Also, we can break into groups based on riding style.

Probably this is going to mean we will just have to start planning
short monthly rides for lunch or dinner. Or, do a breakfast and then
a ride somewhere for pie ??
Do I seem to repeat myself with this ??
And just so you know, (& Carl) we have a Fiero club meeting every
4th Sat. at Papas BBQ and I can't miss that.

enjoy,

And since I brought up pie. I had the most beautiful but the
flattest tasting pie I have probably ever had at a local diner
on Beltline in Carrollton called Norma's. Good meat dishes....
BAD pie. If anyone knows a good place in big C, let me know.
