Stick It to Click It or Ticket is intended for anyone who disagrees with the government's right require seatbelt usage and/or conduct Click It or Ticket (CIOT), a federally-funded selective enforcement campaign that uses taxpayer dollars to buy media exposure and then hand out massive numbers of citations to unbuckled motorists.
If you have figured out that seat belt citations have nothing to do with safety and everything to do with power, control and money, then this group is for you. Our intention is to become the nationwide online clearinghouse for information on how to take these laws out and get other motorists and elected officials involved in the effort.
All viewpoints and political sects are welcome and encouraged to participate. The only thing asked of you is that you refrain from personally attacking other listserv members. Finally, for the protection of our member's computers, please DO NOT send HTML mail or attachments to this list.
Re: Crackdown on those who don't use seatbelts- UK I thought so but yes it is wrong the driver gets the worse penalty. It is though unpractical for the points.

In the current situation Paul we were for sure. But one question my guess is that the points in Ireland only apply to drivers as it could be complex otherwise

... The government hopes it will improve safety. More likely the government hopes it will increase its revenue in fines. I guess that most of us in the U.K.
