Hi All, just letting you know that Pilch, his brother and sister in
law and nephew all arrived home safe and dry from Townsville.
Unfortunately a couple from Sale, Victoria came to grief south of
Mackay when they blew a tire on their bike. Apparently the female
passenger suffered suspected spinal injuries according to the paper.
They were flown by helicopter to the Mackay base hospital but I've
heard no more on the matter.
As Colleen said the Townsville show was sort of OK but not a patch on
Coffs Harbour so don't feel as though you missed out on anything
spectacular `cause you didn't.
I agree with Colleen about Paluma although it's hard to believe that
I come from this area and it's been something like 45 to 50 years
since I was last in this part of paradise. We saw some pretty bazaar
behavior from Ulysses riders on this trip especially when we
confronted them on the wrong side of the road on corners, I thought
that when you get to our age you were supposed to have more sense and
ride with dignity not stupidity.
All in all not a bad week except for the meal I had at Benny's Hot
Wok and bar on Parmer, I had a dish called "crying tiger" which was a
fillet steak grilled medium with oriental spices and served with a
dipping chili sauce, it would have been fantastic if I hadn't poured
the sauce over the meat before I tested it. Shit it was HOT.

Ho Ho Ho Ho It's Trikemas time again.This year it will be held at
Bargara on 29 & 30/11/08. We are booked into Bargara Beach Caravan Park
07 41592228 which is the same place we held the 2005 AGM
www.bargarabeach.com.au . So all you have to do is ring the park and
make your booking and tell them you are there for the Trike Christmas
and they will keep us all together.You will need to bring your
plate ,eating utensils and something to sit on for the BBQ Tea (no
charge) Saturday night as well your $5 Secret Santa per person. Janelle
& I will be there on Friday 28 so if people turn up then we will be
there. I need to know numbers so we know how much food to get

There is a heap of Ulyssess riders already booked in but I'm not sure
if any are trikers or not.

Hi All, just letting the cat out of the bag.
The Trike Riders Australia group (the mob up north) will be having  their
May day weekend at Mapleton this year and all are welcome to join in and
have another great weekend on the Sunny Coast.
The birthday boy (Rob Ley) is hosting this one and has planned a couple of
rides throughout the district with a Bar Be Que one night and dinner at the
local pub the next night.
