I just wanted to say hi to everyone and to
appoligize for not being around much here lately. I have
been putting a lot of time in at work and am usually
tired as hell when I get home. Hopefully, I'll have
more time here soon to start paying more attention to
the club like I should.<br><br>I hope every one is
doing well,<br>-Scott
Happy thanksgiving everybody! We are all piling
in the '66 Impala wagon to go to the in-laws' house
for dinner. Probably will be the last trip this
year...snow will soon be flying here in Northeast Ohio! Hope
you all have a wonderful holiday.<br>Cheers,<br>Jon

Hi,<br> I wanted to tell you about an e-mail list
that specializes in just Novas. I suggest making a
free account with a service like hotmail before you
join though. The list info says to expect 40-150
e-mails a day....it lies!!! I've never had a days e-mail
go that low!!! They are great ppl, and know what
they are talking about usually. here's the
link:<br><br><a href=http://nova.smu.edu/listserv.html

helps,<br>-Scott
My pics finally made it in! I'm getting the last

do the air ride suspension install! I will post
details as I go! Wish me luck, as I will be doing it
myself.<br>Later,<br>Jon

problem getting pics into the "old" club's
gallery.<br>Thanks for any help!<br>Jon
HI,<br> Welcome to the club!! I also was brought
up riding around in the back of a 1971 Ford Ranch
Wagon. Those were some great cars!! Inbetween that and
my brother's 1957 Wagon is where I got my love for
these big beautiful cars. If you have any pictures,
feel free to post them.<br><br>-Scott
Can't believe I found this club. I was raised
with station wagons. As one of 8 kids, we didn't have
much choice. But our dad was a Ford fan so we grew up
with them. His first was a two door white '62 Falcon
w/ red vinyl interior. On long trips they'd put the
second seat down (there was no third seat) and lay the
older six side by side to sleep through the night,
youngest ones between the wheel wells . . . then he
elevated to a '68 tan Country Sedan . . . big, powerful,
but kind of bland - black walls, small hubcaps, but
it was our first car with A/C (thank God for Dad's
allergies!) . . .then business picked up and he bought the
first of three Country Squires in 1971. It was, even
for 1971, a beautiful wagon - hunter green with the
wood sides, black vinyl interior, full wheel covers,
big Cleveland 351 engine and AM/FM ! He even added an
aftermarket 8 track. . .because he used it for work he put
lots of miles on it and the first of the kids started
college so in 1972 he traded it in for a '72 Country
Squire identical to the '71 except for a green interior,
high back front seats with an armrest, power
everything including a factory 8 track and the custom wheel
covers . . .then in 1973 he bought (sadly) his last one
when they changed body styles . . .this was a creme
Country Squire with dark brown interior, but all the same
options as the '72. Those were great cars - he drove the
'73 for two years until he bought his own car - a
1975 LTD Brougham - and the wagon went to the kids and
lasted until 1981 when we sold it with 167,000 miles on
it and decals from five colleges and two high
schools on the far back window. Hope this wasn't too
boring.<br><br>Marty M.
I am tired of current unfinished Project
Challenger 1972 318 2-bl and I am fantasizing about the next
one. An early Mopar A Body SW. Any trades considered?
Come on you all let me know what you have out there. I
am in Maryland. Please respond directly to my e-mail
'ashipma@... Thanks, Andrew Shipman
Im putting the roof rack back on my 64'nova
chevyII wagon and when I bought it the rack was off and
im missing some of the rubber seals. anything you
know that might fit or do I have to make new ones?
Hi guys,<br> I'm gonna be taking a break from
computing for a while. I need to catch up on some projects
around the house before it gets too cold, and do some
repair work thanks to the storm that recently decided to
re-arrange parts of the trees in my yard. I'll still check
my E-Mail every couple of days if not every day. If
you need anything, just E-mail me. I'll try and make
it in here every once in a while, but no
gaurantees....<br><br>Thanks,<br>-Scott
Hi,<br> I'm glad you found the club! When the
other one dissappeared, I felt I had to create this one
to carry on where the old one left off. Wagon owners
are the forgotten people in the restoration world for
the most part, and I figured that if I could help
people by starting a new club I could help keep some of
these wonderful cars on the road!<br><br>About the
monzas, you just can't beat a V-8 in that small car for
seat of the pants thrills!! <G><br>It's kinda
like strapping a saddle on a booster rocket and
lighting the fuse.... when you get traction that is!! I've
owned a couple of these cars since I got my first 2+2
V-8 Monza in my teenage years that I litterally
tortured to death. Since then I've learned several
lessons... like DON'T put a big block in one without
strengthening the frame, or you have an easy time changing
opposite tires due to frame warp....another I learned the
hard way is when you have a 350 4 speed Spyder with
posi, DON'T punch it in the rain and in 2nd gear unless
you really like sliding sideways down the road!!!!
<br><br>Well, I've told on myself enough for now
<G>,<br>-Scott
Well folks, I just sold the Cavalier wagon
tonite! I will still post a couple pics in my album
(Jon's cars). I just may do another one of these some
day...or maybe a Fairmont/Zephyr wagon...who knows..but
definitely something in the obscure category! For
now...trying to sell my other 2 cars so I can be a little more
picky in choosing my next old wagon. A '59 Chevy
Brookwood caught my attention, but I will have to be REALLY
sure of the car before I travel 2500 miles to pick it
up! <br>That's all for now...<br>Later,<br>Jon
Glad to have a wagon club up and running again! I
am sorry to say I have sold my 65 Nova wagon last
week, but would be happy to try to help the young lady
with the 63! The Nova club is your best bet to find
parts and services relating to your car. I bought a few
used parts from some of the members of that club and
was extremely happy with their eagerness to help a
fellow Nova-nut.<br>Now that my 65 is gone, I am left
with 3 cars including my 86 Cavalier wagon. All cars
are for sale so I can purchase the next wagon...I
have not yet picked the car out. I will try to post a
few pics in the next few days.<br>That's all for now,
folks!<br>Jon
Greetings all... and THANKS to Scott for creating
this club.<br><br>I'm looking forward to chatting with
many of you and learning more about your
cars/projects.<br><br>Oh, and Scott... LOVE the Monza. Sadly I sold my 77
w/a stroker 383 putting out 450 HP. THAT was a FUN
toy. The only problem was at 6'9" I BARELY fit in it
and finally sold it back to my brother (who lost it
in the divorce) SIGH! memories.
Welcome to the club, I'm glad you found us! I
hate to send you to a different club, but the
Chevrolet Nova Club
<br><br><a href=http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/chevroletnovaclub
target=new>http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/chevroletnovaclub</a><br><br>will be
able to better answer your question. I know
there is a guy in there from Ohio named Novawagonmaster
that owns a 1965 wagon. He might be able to help you
more than I can since I live in South Carolina. Those
old Nova wagons are sharp cars! I thought about
getting one a while back, but bought my Impala instead.
I've owned several Novas though including a 1972 Nova
SS 350 that I still own today, and may be able to
help on some questions. My policy is and always shal
be: "The only STUPID question is the one NOT
ASKED!!!!"
Hi all!! found your club while searching on yahoo. sounds interesting. my
husband and i have a 63 Nova wagon. does anyone know where i can get my seats
reupholstered? i'm in NJ. <br>thanks.
Welcome to the club! Your nomad sounds like a
great car!!! The 58's were the forgotten nomads. They
are one of the better looking of the nomads in my
humble opinion. If I wasn't a 1957 finatic, I'd say
yours was the best looking of the bunch. Please feel
free to post some pictures and share your car with the
rest of us if you want.<br><br>-Scott
I own a 1958 Chevy Nomad. Yes they made a 58
Nomad and I'm lucky to have one. It's all redone with
454 & 400 th trany. New interior wheels and tires,
plus it has disk brakes front and air lift (air
springs) rear. We like to tow a small R.V. with it and
still show up at car shows and cruz ins. Really the
best of both worlds. We are retired and are looking
forward to more trips away from the old homestead. Being
a retired Teamster where else do we belong but on
the road.<br>Here hoping to hear from other "58"
owners.<br>falconjohn
I'm glad you joined the club! I like the your
wagon!! Do you mind if I use it as the club logo for a
bit?? I'm going to be changing the pictures every once
in a while, just to have something different once in
a while. <br><br>Hopefully everyone that was in the
other club will join here and we can make this as good,
if not a better club than the last one! BTW, do you
know what happened to it??? I tried to log into it and
it was gone. No e-mail about it, or any notice as
far as I can tell...<br><br>-Scott
If you currently own a Station Wagon, or just
like the way these forgotten classics look, please
join the club. I have set this club up to help
preserve the wagon, and help share information on these
cars. Hopefully we can get this club up and
going.<br>-Scott
