... Jack, I can understand the clearances you mention as applied to the openers. Are you saying these apply to the closers too? .006 for the closer sounds

It's what they recommend, but having closers very close to zero is a good practice. Openers I also set at .004" for 2-valvers. My only 4-Valve is a 748R and

well.. the gap is about 5 hours from morgantown.. it is around 4 hours or so from columbia, 50 miles closer.. It's on the west edge of the smokies..
