Throughsome thing most Auto scooter owners will ever have to worry
about, use!!

I have a tuned Runner, the Crank is a Malossi Race Crank and the
Bearings tend to last about 10,000 miles, I am now just passed 27,000
in total.

Welcome, glad to see some one else with some enthusiasum for riding.
I have to replace the main bearings on my scoot, but as soon as this
is done we shall try to arrange a little meet.

I did a S.West scooter run my self last week, but did not invite any
one as it was to go on Holiday to Padstow in Cornwall. Some nice
roads down there for scootering, its a bit of a run though at 225
miles each way!

Photos soon.

You seem to be missing the point, I never really intended to close it
down, just to stir some enthusiasm up! It's a pity you have never
been able to come for a ride, you do have a scooter? Perhaps as the
rest of us can't organise a ride out, you could? Thought not!lol.
Still, your views, which have always been argumentative and
derogatory are accepted, its a pity you have never offered any help
however.
Nice of you to keep popping in and out.

I think it would be a very good idea to close this club down, as not
very many people post here and they are always saying come for a ride
then at the last minute they can't because their scooters have broken
down. Not many rides are ever organised, because no-one seem able to
have the ability to be a good organiser on this group. The few rides
that have been organised have turned out to be a complete shambles
from what I have read on this group list over the past two years with
people arguing about slow rides, fast riders, not doing proper rides
but just calleing in to dealers for a look around, that's not a ride,
so just close the group down is the best thing.

Summer is raising it head over the parapet. If you want to close
down, why not wait til october, and judge it then?

BTW - I'm not available 'coz my scoots exhaust broke in two last
friday. But as soon as i'm sorted, then an avebury run on wednesday
sounds good, or a seaside run early on a sunday morning.

Seems like we all have a bad monent with stnds etc, I myself whislt
on earlys was not quite awake one morning leaveing for work, I opened
the garage pushed my scoot out and into the back lane whislt it was
ticking over, put it onto the side stand, problem here is the lane is
cobbled ! I turned around to put the garage door down and BANG !!!
the scoots gone over, this left my with a broken front lever and the
replacement cost was £32 ouch not to mention a scruffy scracth down
the side. I dont use the side stand anymore !!!
Did more damgage a week later, speeding then braking too hard in the
wet and hit some diesel, I flew right off my scoot at a junction
thank god there was no traffic at the time, scrape the scoot pretty
badly and my knee wasing much better coud have been worst, I was more
worried about my scoot and the only thing going through my mind was
that I was getting a new exhaust the next day and and thought I might
have knackered my scoot !!! had to take a whole week of work and was
still have the week after, should really get some protective riding
gear for when I come off next !!! See you all later thats if i'm not
coming off again any time soon. Ricihe.

Hi there, sorry to hear about the bike.
That's almost as bad as my little bit of fun..

I keep my bike in the shed so I have to push it up a ramp to get it
into the shed. Anyway I tried doing that with loads of stuff attached
to the bike and I dropped it on its left side half way up the ramp.
After breaking my back liting it up, I only went and dropped it on
the right hand side as well (just to make sure of course).

Anyway that's enough madness for now.....

Simon, Salisbury.
