I bought my first pack from Dyno. I wouldn't do it again for an
EV. Nothing wrong with dyno, in fact they were very nice and even replaced
one of my batteries after 2 months use. but the whole pack was dead a year
later. now some of that was probably my fault but dyno makes marine
batteries which are not true deep cycle batteries. and in my opinion they are not
as suitable for an ev as the trojans.
just my opinion....

peninsula. A battery business in Port Angeles called Heartline has quoted me $125
each for 15 of the same new Trojan batteries, delivered to my home – that
would be $1875 for all 15. They recommend Trojans as the best battery for my use. Their second choice recommendation would be Deka batteries which they would sell
for $120 each in a set of 15. I have never heard of Deka. Les Schwab sells some 8
volt deep cycle lead acid types, badged for Schwab, which they claim they are made
by Interstate, same as Interstate. Schwab would sell me a set of those for $1700
for all 15, delivered to my home. I asked the Port Angeles Trojan vendor about
Interstate and he says he no longer sells those because their quality has declined.
I have known others who had good experiences with Interstate. Does anyone have
any advice for me regarding these or other batteries or any suggestions of better
places to be purchasing them?

Dyno 8 volt deep cycle batteries, shipped out to Sequim would be $107.93 each and postage would be $167 for the lot. That makes the Dyno batteries about $119...
