[seva] Global Warming Is Irreversible, Study Says   Message List
Reply Message #10526 of 19864 |

"People have imagined that if we stopped emitting carbon dioxide that the climate would go back to normal in 100 years or 200 years. What we're showing here is that's not right. It's essentially an irreversible change that will last for more than a thousand years," says Susan Solomon, who is among the world's top climate scientists.

So how will the general public take this?

1. Oh well, nothing I do matters, so I’ll just keep doing the same.

2. I don’t want to leave a hellhole of a planet for my children, so I’m making changes now.

3. Just another study, I still don’t believe in global warming.
