Subject: [Second Generation Nissan Maxima] Brand New Fuel pump not pumping fuel either

Okay guys, im having a big issue with my 85 maxima getting fuel. I bought a new fuel pump and still nothing. However I know that the pump itself works fine. Ive tested the connector under the rear seat of the car and its getting power. (3power and 2grounds). Ive tested the harness that connects directly to the fuel pump itself also and my voltmeter says its getting power to it. when i hook the fuel pump directly to the battery it runs just fine. I'm so confused. Why would it not kick on once i put it in the tank and its getting power. If anyone can help me at all with any ideas i would highly appreciate it. I Love my car and want to keep it. Ive had it for 16 years with only one transmission problem. it has 320000 miles on it and engine runs like a new one. I own 3 maximas. check them at www.myspace. com/marcobrown Thank you all
