Re: [Second Generation Nissan Maxima] Brand New Fuel pump not pumping fuel either

Hi Bro.
This is Boiet from The Philippines, I had that problem once and fixed it all by myself.
First , i think you should check the grounding system first because without it the electrical cycle will not be complete, second, check the fuel pipeline for possible air leaks, thats one reason for the fuel pump to mulfunction , and lastly , your fuel pump wiring doesnt work properly, try to check with your local auto electrician and if possible try to replace the wiring s.
I hope this could solve your problem with your car's fuel pump .

Regards ,
Boiet

Okay guys, im having a big issue with my 85 maxima getting fuel. I bought a new fuel pump and still nothing. However I know that the pump itself works fine. Ive tested the connector under the rear seat of the car and its getting power. (3power and 2grounds). Ive tested the harness that connects directly to the fuel pump itself also and my voltmeter says its getting power to it. when i hook the fuel pump directly to the battery it runs just fine. I'm so confused. Why would it not kick on once i put it in the tank and its getting power. If anyone can help me at all with any ideas i would highly appreciate it. I Love my car and want to keep it. Ive had it for 16 years with only one transmission problem. it has 320000 miles on it and engine runs like a new one. I own 3 maximas. check them at www.myspace. com/marcobrown Thank you all
