AW71 trannies came in loads of 240 series cars. I've seen them as early as 1984.......
AW-71s were used in all turbo 240 and 7XX autobox cars. AW-70 was used in all non turbo autobox 240s that had overdrives, post '81 or so, and shared the 700...

You're right I forgot the AW-70L but they came in the GL and GLE version depending on years, later GLEs with 16 valve engines got the AW-72L, the turbos...
