it's really not that hard to fill it from below. use a 3/8" square drive to remove the fill plug. you can buy a hand pump from the local auto parts store....

When I refill, I remove the top fill hole, leave a catch pan under the car, and then fill from the shifter area until it comes out the fill hole. Much easier...
