To the best of my knowledge:
Pre 82 saw all bikes with half width hubs and 6" brakes,
Pre 72 there was a pressure relief valve for the return oil. ID;d by
a large 'nut' just under the bottom end of the rocker oil line.
The Pressed flat sided guards typify all bikes from the mid 60's
through to the mid 70's
Your REI numbers are early/mid 60's the EI numbers were applied to
CKD from the UK, but they were all 50's bikes.
Pre 62 bikes had mag dynos. (all the ckd's ex UK)

Hi Tim. This will give me a better idea, how about the speedo drive being on the back wheel? I suppose the compression on this one is pretty low, once I get it...
