Need Assitance on Rotary Engine   Message List

Dear all,

I am new in this group and need a little assistance from anyone who
can help me out here.

I have been a rotary lover since many years ago when I drove a Mazda
RX5 that belonged to a friend of mine.

I am planning to build a rotary project car from scratch. Anyhow,
the problem is that I could not find the right car that has rear-whel
drive. There is very limited rear-wheel drive car from where I came
from.

Initially, I planned to put a rotart engine into a '91 Mazda 323
hatchback with pop-up headlights. Unfortunately, this is a front-
wheel drive. It would be better to find a Mazda to fit a rotary
engine in. Till today there is only early 80's Toyota Corolla that
actually fits the criteria of rear-wheel drive of a rotary engine.

Would anyone here have any idea of a Mazda that has a rear-wheel
drive, no matter the year? How about the 70s Mazda 808 that has an
almost similar shape as RX-3, except that it is a four-door sedan?

Thanks.
