I can tell you this.  Oil temperatures rarely exceed 300 deg F. in a typical automobile crankcase.  In hot areas of an engine (turbo bearings, valve train)...

In a street car is should not run over 200-225 degrees. Just a little over water tempreture as the oil is cooled by the water jacket in the engine as it runs...
