I'm sorry that my lack of mechanical skills offends you. I guess I wasn't born

I'll call the garage and tell them that you're no longer interested in the leaf

Well Hal, Lemme see if I've got yeah right here. You've been shouting about
this Lil' Trucklet for ah month now trying to sell parts off it before it's even
in your possession right? Now you've gotta ask your neighbor how to disassemble
the thing. I'd start with maybe ah $1,000 worth of hand tools 50-50 standard and
metric. '84 was what we call a transitional year. You won't know from one nut or
bolt to the next if you're playing with standard or metric. 2 tool boxes(can't
mix um' yeah know), compressor, air tools, cut off wheel, sawz-all. Oh yeah,
you'll need ah floor jack, jack stands, and ah cherry picker is ah must. Ah
creeper is optional. Cardboard 'll work if you're young! Service manuals are
always handy too. Not Chilton's either, get the good Mopar ones. How much
profit do yeah think
their is in ah $500 25 year old mini truck? Sorry man but I gotta say what many
here gotta be thinking, I think you're in the wrong hobby Pal, Jerry...BTW, I'm
not trying to start a P***ing contest here, just calling it the way I see it!

Don't let him discourage you. Not everyone had a WW2 Seabee heavy equipment
mechanic for a grandfather like I did. I'm sure I was a great disappointment to
him because he once said he didn't want his kids to be Sailors or mechanics and
I was both (on aircraft, not heavy equipment).
Get a book for it if you don't have one, it's a valuable resource (even the
Chilton's or Haynes one). Get the one that is for the Omni and the Rampage, the
Omni only book won't have the stuff you need for the rear suspension and brakes.
My 82 is all metric and there isn't much I can't do on it with just a standard
metric tool set. Air tools speed things up, but they aren't essential. Mostly
this is supposed to be a fun hobby, although I don't know if you can consider
skinned knuckles much fun. You can learn a lot from your friend if he is a
gifted mechanic.
For what it's worth, I think it was someone named Jason that was interested in
the springs. The only thing I need is a carburator, but unfortunately mine is a
non-feedback and the 84 has a feedback carb I'm sure.
We're getting a lot of rain from Ida here (just north of Raleigh) as well. The
weatherman says it is supposed to clear up tomorrow, but he's been known to be
wrong before.

No problem brother! I am not on any type of hurried time frame. It is what it

load it up on my flat bed and take it over to the house, so no worries.

That's a little harsh brother for someone asking for springs from a 25 yr old
vehicle. We are not all born with the ability to wrench. He IS trying to help
us out, well at least those that want help. Patience is a virtue. I totally
understand your frustration, but seriously?
Hal, shoot me a pic of that header when YOU get a chance.
Thanks for your help and updates.

Hi Alan, (finally someone else who spells it right ..lol
Too bad its in February...I don't want to drive mine through the salt..I mean
snow and acid rain to get there. Maybe in the spring, it will be a great excuse
to open up both barrels.

Â
So our SoCal Turbo Mopar/Shelby Dodge club has been meeting at Applebees in
LaHabra on the first Thursday of the month for over 13 years! Most members have
at least a few project FWD Mopars and several have Rampages/Scamps. In my
'little black book' I have 14 Rampage owners listed. Last year, just before
November, I called together as many of the L body trucks as I could. We ended up
with 8 and as far as anyone knew, that is the largest collection of truckletts
anywhere since they were new on the dealer lots:-) L Body truck month was born.
Last Thursday, we tried again and were somewhat less successful, we had 'only'
4. But we made the decision to try again in a few months, probably for the
February meeting. I'll post back as the meeting draws nearer. So if you know
anyone with a Scamp/Rampage in thoe SoCal area, give a shout out to them and let
them know about the gathering. Thanks
Alan

Thanks Hal! Where are you located again? I need some large items, but hasseling
with packing and shipping is probably not worth it.
Thanks bud.

Hi all,
On a 525 rod linkage shifter, are those clips that secure the shifter rod
end sockets to the ball end still available through a Dodge dealer? The
sockets are weak on mine and I need a quick, temporary fix. If they are
still available does anyone know the part number? Anyone have some for
sale?
Thanks,
Chuck

Upfront Runs-Drives- but carb and tranny problems, its so clean otherwise it's a
shame i have to sell it, 2.2 canadian made - bed has cleats installed clean and
a wood cover unfinished, all the glass works - handles work, right seat only
needs a new latch, carpet is good, paint is passable - did i say no rust - if i
had the garage to work in and the tools i would fix it but, oh well - I guess my
hustle is lame but i don't have the $00 to fix it.
Some NEW rubber, Brakes, wheel drums, no radio, good dash, seats can be
re-uphostered like new, car actually does start and run, will be willing to
demonstrate. I'm in Monterey Park Los Angeles.
323-393-5077 Good til Friday, After that I'm keeping it cause I'm gonna have to
sell something else to pay rent anyway and the reg expires the 30th of november.
I have to support like 8 people since so many people I have the honor of being
related to have been laid off so if you buy this car it will help more than just
myself. Thank you in advance whomever buys this car.
