Club members, I am doing some spring cleaning and have lots of Audi
parts to sell.
Please notify me with any request. Parts range from old 70's Audi
100's thru 89' Audi 100-200.

I have been neglecting this site since I have created this Audi Club back in
'99. I am going to
be cleaning up some stuff here and revamping it to be more of a Audi Club site
then a junk
filled message board with nothing to do with Audi crap.
Currently, I have '89 200TQ Wagon, '85 5000T, '83 5000T, '86 5000 Wagon, '84
5000, '85
5000 Wagon, and '86 BMW 325. I still am an Audi franatic and I will be sharing
my
experiences and knowledge. Since '99 when I started this Group, I have owned
a repair
shop and now on another career path. But you never know.
So, there are lots of benefits I will be providing to members,
technical/pix/diagrams/how-
tos/. And I will be asking members lots of questions too..
So thank you all for being members, and I will be weeding out the garbage in
this group.

A 22 year old car is road legal in USA as a vintage vehicle. They
enter duty free.
no safety extras such as bumpers need to be touched. Just maybe add
safety belts if not there.
check the car's ID Plate to see the month of manufacture.
your 1992 doesn't fall ito this category so you will have to go thru
the entire process. there should be a DOT page dedicated to this
issue.

has anyone imported a german car that is registered in Germany into
the US? How difficult is it to change it to US standards, and what
paperwork is involved to get the title changed and so forth.
I am thinking of importing my Dads '92 750iL. Thanks.
Jut for a change, something to do with Audi rather than all this
other crap.
Does anyone know a supplier of the black insert with the silver 0000
that fit in the centre of the 80 Sport wheels. They are 70mm in
diameter.

I've got an `83 with a good-running later (`84?) engine, recent
waterpump and bad trans (one ea new inner & outer CV, recent F&R
brakes & f.wheel bearings), and an `85 with a good trans (leaks a
little but works fine) and bad radiator along with a host of little
problems - it has recent f.wheel bearings too. Both were running when
parked (although one only moves in Reverse) and have been sitting for
a year or so now waiting for me to do something with them and I just
haven't had the time & energy, wife is fed up and wants them gone.
The `85 has a brand-new defroster fan, and I have the two-volume
Bentley manual set - I may put those up on eBay if nobody makes me a
decent offer.
The cars are a few miles north of Seattle and I don't expect to get
much for either of them - it would be a shame to take them over the
scales if someone can make use of the parts or make one car from the
two. Also have a big box in the attic of miscellaneous parts from an
`84 Diesel that I scrapped a few years back (mostly
interior/electrical stuff as I recall) If you're interested in any of
this, e-mail me soon.
Check out this place for Auctions and Fixed price Sales (No
listing fee).
I personally liked the amazing : "AUTO-RELIST UNTIL SOLD" option.

Hi,
I have a club for C1 Audis at :
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/audi100c1series/
I chk it everyday for spam.
Maybe the moderator is in the armed forces ?
If so I suggest that he setup a co-moderator to assist him with club
responsibilities.
Best Regards,
HUNTER
With what seems to be an increasing number of crap postings on a
suposibly German Car Site, there is only one reason, the moderator of
the group has no interest in it.
Perhaps there should be another site set up with someone in control
that has the stated interest at heart ???
rogers.,
turns out the one doing the mech work was using the power feed off
the battery(!). Regardless, the tailights weren't working as night
driving is then unsafe with just the licanse plate lights & brake
lights.
we put in 2 new sockets for the front corners & disconnected the
rear lid right from the rear tailight assembly(right). Had to rewire
the right front corner power from the left front corner.
Seems to work fine, just the one tailight on the lid is
disfunctional(but i can live with that). Also, by the time we were
done the headlamp switch on the dash went so that was a pricey jewel.

In my 2 years' membership in audifans.com, I've NEVER heard of a need
to rewire in the manner you're describing! Try accessing audifans.com
& at the bottom of the intro screen use the Google Search of the
archives. Try different entries, perhaps beginning with 4000 light
failure.

Is anything else not working? Usually, lighting failures are due to a) bad
grounds, b) a blown fuse on shared circuit, c) problems with the rear circuit

I'm having issues with my car as the teeny elecrical wiring seems to
have corroded between the front end & the rear as my rear marker
lights no longer work.
there is power coming thru the brown ground wire.
I'm thinking of laying some new wiring from the fusebox to the rear
lamps. Anyone done this before?
Where is the likely rustpocket that's messin' around with my
