1. The topic of the list is the Ford Pinto, Mercury Bobcat, and related
Ford products. General, non-Pinto-specific technical information is
also permitted if it is of value to people working on these vehicles.

2. It is suggested that messages include the author's name and email
address in the text of the message. Since our members are all over the
country including the city/state that you live in is also good idea.

3. When replying to list mail, do not send the reply to the list unless it
will be of interest to the list. Reply to the individual author if your
message is not of general interest to 200 other members. This group
has the "reply to" set to pinto@yahoogroups.com . If you want to send a
message to the individual who wrote the post you must "cut and paste"
that individuals email address into the "reply to" field in your email
software program.

4. The "Subject" line should reflect the content of the message.
If you change the subject of a thread, change the "Subject" line.

5. In replies, quote as much of the original message as necessary to
establish the context. Edit out unnecessary material.

6. Swearing, abusive, or insulting messages are absolutely not allowed.
The Ford Pinto List is a "no-flame" list. All list members, and their
vehicles, must be treated with respect. Please keep the language clean :)

7. Advertising is permitted on the list, within the following guidelines:

Ads must be specifically geared toward Ford Pinto enthusiasts (no spam).
Ads *must* include the location (city and state) where the Pinto/parts are
located. Ads must also include the price of the vehicle or parts forsale.

If you're selling items on Ebay, note that in the subject line of your message.
We hope that most sellers will offer here exclusively or at least here first
before offering on ebay.

Once a request for or offer of merchandise has been posted to the list, all
subsequent correspondence concerning a transaction must be conducted off the
list.

8. Do not post pictures to the list. If you have pictures that you wish to
share with the other members, download them in the List Vault at:

9. If mail to a subscriber is "bounced" back to the list administrator
due to a full mailbox or technical error on the subscriber's system,
the subscriber may be removed from the list. Subscribers should set
their mail status to "Read it on the Web" to avoid such problems when
they are unable to check their mail.

10. Please do not type your messages in capitial letters (LIKE THIS). This
is considered shouting, and is not proper netiquette. AND it doesn't
look that cool either.

11. If you continue a thread that has been killed by a moderator, you may
have your future posts moderated or be banned from the list.
