Today I did some research in asking service managers has worked for
Mazda, Holden and VW - a workshop manager - been on the tools as well VW
Audi/Jag/Volvo/Landrover. Both these said it was unnecessary at 17000km.
Then went to the pug dealer and spoke with the workshop manager (on the
side) he said it was onselling the product and not necessary at the km's
bit maybe at 50000 or 60000km you could find a difference.
He was were getting very familiar with our first 307 with them having it
for 1 in every 6 days in the first year with oil consumption problems.
The process is by disconnecting the fuel lines and injecting a pp can of
solvent into the fuel system , on a normal injected car they use one can
of solvent .and run the car for that period. A diesel they use extra
pressure with the injection.
