Can’t say I recall this being done to mine. Unless
you have been using fuel of suspect quality I wouldn’t worry. I’ve
also heard that biodiesel can cause gunk to build up so it may be an idea if
you’ve been using it.
I insisted on the oil being changed at the initial 10,000km
inspection on mine and again at 20,000km. I had some (noticeable not disastrous)
oil consumption in the first 10,000 on mine but it settled down after
that. There is a definite “running in” period with these
engines. My fuel consumption improved noticeably after the first 10,000
also.

I have a 2ltr HDI and is going in for the first service. at 17000km
(Without any oil consumption problems.)
The service centre want to do a fuel system service, I can't find this
service mentioned in the service requirements
My thinking its an after sales push which will cost $240 extra on the
service cost.
Any thoughts on this and is it required ?
Mentioned it gets rid of the gunk which builds up within the fuel lines. .
If this is so then Peugeot should have included this with the service
and in the service schedules.

Biodiesel will clean the system out not make it dirty, it is a solvent and will clean out the gunk but it will cause your high pressure pump seals to soften...
