Hola Daniel and all else,
My name is Nick Wright and I started and moderate this group. I am from Palo Alto and was active in community-biodiesel movements there. Now I live elsewhere and I would be glad to add a new moderator, although I would like to also keep my own moderator status. Daniel, I will write you off-list about it. Others who have ideas for the group and would like to be moderators, please post or write.
Recently I looked into ways to block spam on Yahoogroups, and even though they've put new anti-spam tricks on Yahoo most moderators still concluded that the best and only way to eliminate spam is to change the group status to restricted membership, where the moderator(s) have to approve new members before they are allowed to post. I did that and it works fine, except that the poster of the below message (and two other messages) was approved by me accidentally, thinking they were someone who wanted to join the list with good reason. So when I saw these posts I banned the person and erased their posts from the archive.
In peace and friendship
peacenick

Why is this bastard still spamming this list?
Do you need help managing the list? I would love to help. Please change my status to Moderator and I will gladly help run this list.
