What i did on one i'm building, took the sliders from a auto's
buck seat,shorten the width,bolted to the seat.
Did it so either wife, who is short or I (tall) could drive it.

... I ... long ... or ... top ... 5) ... seat ... to ... what about a semblance of a lazy susan with a lock using stainless bearings etc. it should'nt be too...

Ok - this is a big warning - Caution mistakes like this could kill you. A) Auto Seats made in the last ten years are all tested for construction and crash...
