on the brakes thing,
i have KE70 backing plates, calipers and dics with KE20 huns as a
complete bolt in, no mods (except for dust cover part of backing
plate for the short KE1X steering arms) into my KE15.
the aussie KE70 had local brakes, with square pads, and the "south
east asia" and probably japan version had long thin pads.. similar
to the KE20 original pad shape.
i found one of the S.E.A cars in a wrecker in oz, and the backing
plate pattern was a perfect bolt up to a KE20 and KE10 strut.
the bolt size and spacing was perfect.
i believe the square pad KE70's have the non-rectangular bolt
pattern with larger bolt holes in the backing plate.
there was some mention of KE70 calipers bolting to KE30 backing
plates...
also, the KE70 in oz had 218x12.? (12.7?)mm discs like the KE55 did,
and the KE30 had almost same discs but 10mm thick.
KE10 and KE20 had 200x10mm discs
the panel van KE70's had 228 iirc?
RX7 struts have been fitted to KE10's with KE20 front end
camira discs with Volvo 4 pots have also been done into KE1/2X
in japan i saw a nice KE2X which had been fitted with AE86 front
end, and used later RX7 calipers on larger discs... increases track,
but that is also good....
