Wow, so there might be a smaller distributor cap for the 3TC? It's only about
1/8inch too big, so if there is a smaller one, that
would be perfect. Any ideas on what year this would be for?
I bought the manifold from a guy in Hong Kong; he said it was an original TRD
manifold for a 3TC, but he may not have known for
sure. I was a bit unsure myself because I thought the 3TC was only sold in
California as an econo alternative, so the chances that
Toyota was making racing parts for it were fairly slim. It may very well be a
2TG or 2TC part . but I know it does fit the intake
ports on the block, so it can be used on our 3TC. Either way, it's a very sweet
piece of kit, so I'm hoping we can find a workaround
for this problem. I'll research the smaller distro cap idea. Thanks, M8.
Anyone have any comments on the brake question I posed yesterday? Do the larger
'82 corolla brakes , front and rear, bolt on to a
'72 KE20 corolla chassis?

Have you looked at other T-engine distributors? Are any of
them smaller? K motors came out with at least two different
distributor bodies, maybe you'll find the same
Are you sure this manifold wasn't meant to be used on a 2T-G?
